Study in pink and black. High price expected for bird painting at forthcoming Aussie auction

This striking  oil-on-canvas study entitled  Shoalhaven Riverbank with Black Swan and Cockatoo is expected to fetch between 120,000 and 150,000 Australian dollars (£63,000 - £78,000) when it goes under the hammer next Monday August 24 at a sale to be held by Bonham's at their saleroom in Sydney. Measuring 153cm x 122cm, it was painted in 1988 by Arthur Boyd who died, aged 79, in 1999.
