Fresh mountain air and very special birds - the famous RSPB reserve |
RECRUITMENT has begun for three posts at the RSPB's showcase reserve at Loch Garten in the Scottish Highlands.
The charity is seeking applications for the following:
* Visitor Operations Manager (£28,331 - £30,415 per annum) to lead the development and delivery of the visitor experience and income-generating elements at the Loch Garten Nature Centre and on surrounding promoted trails, with the aim of maintaining a first-class visitor attraction which maximises support for nature.
* Visitor Experience Officer (£23,489 - £25,216 per annum) to deliver the visitor experience at the Loch Garten Nature Centre, maintaining a first-class visitor attraction and maximising support for nature through encouraging membership of the RSPB.
* Senior Site Manager (£41,593 - £44,651 per annum) to help restore important habitats in one of Scotland's most exhilarating landscapes and to play the lead role in running Loch Garten, one of RSPB's largest and highest profile reserves.
Elsewhere, the society is also looking to appoint a "Project Implementation Manager" (£41,593 - £44,651 per annum to oversee continuing eradication of non-native stoats in the Orkney Islands. Perhaps not a job for the squeamish!
In England, meanwhile, the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust is advertising for a £23,336 per annum warden at Slimbridge.
More details of the vacancies are available from the two organisations on the recruitment pages of their websites.
