AN upbeat note has been sounded by the RSPB’s chief executive, Mike
Clarke, at the start of the New Year.
In his Comment piece in the
Spring 2018 edition of the charity’s quarterly magazine, Nature’s Home, he writes: “Our past successes give us huge
confidence to tackle the future despite is uncertainties.
“This year sees the pivotal legislation that will define our
relationship with the natural world for the UK outside the EU.
“As this unfolds, the challenge will remain to keep UK countries at the
forefront of efforts to save nature and safeguard hard-won conservation gains.”
