Wallcreeeper, Bee-eater and Avocet among six species being considered for new Euro notes

                    

Six bird species could be depicted in new Euro notes proposed by the European Central Bank. They are: Wallcreeper, Kingfisher, Bee-eater, White Stork, Avocet and Gannet. Members of the public are being invited to comment on the various designs, some of which are depicted above and below.
